Health Minister Sakeena Itoo spearheaded the launch, reinforcing the government's dedication to enhancing women's health and securing their future across Jammu and Kashmir. She underscored the significance of educating the public on the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine's role in cancer prevention.
Itoo urged cross-departmental collaboration, particularly among social welfare, education, and health sectors, to propagate awareness about HPV vaccine efficacy. The Principal of Government Medical College, Jammu, Ashutosh Gupta, and Associate Professor Bhavna Langer highlighted the vaccine's potential to curb cervical cancer, aiming for eradication by 2030.
