A severe outbreak of diarrhoea has been reported in a village in Bihar's Darbhanga district, leading to the deaths of two individuals and causing over 70 residents to fall ill.

Darbhanga Civil Surgeon Arun Kumar confirmed that a special medical camp is operational in Sara Mohanpur village after children displayed symptoms two days ago, which has now spread to most villagers.

To control the situation, officials have bolstered supplies of antibiotics and disinfectants, and deployed a team of doctors. Additional beds have been arranged at local hospitals to handle the crisis. Authorities remain optimistic that the situation will soon be under control.
