An alarming theft has taken place at the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bhopal, where several units of blood and plasma have reportedly been stolen, according to a police report.

The theft came to light following a complaint lodged by Dr. Gyanendra Prasad, the in-charge of the AIIMS blood bank, which prompted police action. The authorities registered a case against an outsourced employee, as blood and plasma units had been vanishing for an extended period, revealed Assistant Commissioner of Police Rajnish Kashyap Koul.

CCTV footage captured the suspected employee allegedly stealing plasma units and handing them to an unidentified individual. AIIMS officials suspect an insider's involvement and have launched a comprehensive investigation, aided by CCTV evidence, to unravel the case.
