Hospital Sealed After Childbirth Tragedy Sparks Investigation

A private hospital in Sikandarpur town has faced closure following the tragic death of a woman during childbirth. The district's Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Sanjeev Verman, confirmed that New Deeplok Hospital was sealed on Sunday. An inspection highlighted several irregularities and failure to meet required medical standards.

The action comes in the wake of a complaint filed by the deceased woman's husband, who is a resident of Amritpali village. His grievance accused Dr. Rashmi Rai of negligence, attributing it to his wife's unfortunate demise earlier this month.

Official notices have been issued to the hospital authorities, who are now required to provide relevant operational documents within a week, as part of the ongoing investigation to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
