Deadly Hantavirus Outbreak Hits Cruise Ship MV Hondius

With international health authorities on high alert, the ship carried 25 crew members and two medical personnel as it reached Rotterdam on Monday.
All passengers had previously disembarked at other ports, and the remaining crew are now in immediate quarantine. The lethal outbreak resulted in the deaths of three passengers, including a Dutch couple, believed to have contracted the virus during their South American visit.
