Chandrababu Naidu has directed his administration to escalate preparations for Yogandhra-2026, a large-scale yoga initiative aiming to involve one crore individuals across Andhra Pradesh. The campaign will focus on fostering widespread yoga activities from the village to the state level.

The chief minister reviewed the detailed plans for the programme, highlighting the importance of inclusive yoga events covering all regions and administrative echelons. The campaign will kick off on June 7 and crescendo with International Yoga Day commemorations on June 21. Additional events across the state will be held simultaneously, including district-level programs.

A notable statewide yoga gathering will happen in Amaravati, attracting 25,000 participants and featuring Naidu himself. The event will also host a training program to equip an additional one lakh yoga instructors to support the existing facilitator network. Moreover, the 'One District, One Theme' campaign will focus on unique activities, with dedicated funding for each district.

Major tourist sites will host special yoga sessions, and daily events with hundreds of participants will promote engagement. The initiative aims to offer awards for exceptional activities and create an extensive digital resource library to aid public participation. The campaign is being coordinated among various governmental departments to ensure smooth execution.
