The United States has issued a stern advisory to its citizens residing in Lahore, urging them to either leave the city or seek shelter. This comes after reports of drone explosions, downed drones, and possible airspace incursions in the area.
According to a statement from the US Consulate, citizens should prepare evacuation plans that do not rely on government assistance, keep travel documents handy, and stay updated via local media. While urging cooperation with local authorities, the consulate reports that some areas near Lahore's main airport might undergo evacuation.
Simultaneously, Indian military engagement has intensified. In response to the Pahalgam terror attack, Indian forces launched Operation Sindoor. With significant military action, India targeted and neutralized terrorist sites in Pakistan to break down enemy air defense systems. The western border remains volatile as military strikes and counter-defense measures continue, with a significant loss of life reported.
