Tony Blair, former UK Prime Minister, has expressed strong admiration for Telangana's bold growth strategy, 'Telangana Rising,' during a meeting with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in Delhi. The initiative focuses on significantly increasing the state's GDP from USD 200 billion to USD 1 trillion by 2035 and eventually reaching USD 3 trillion by 2047.
According to an official statement, this ambitious economic trajectory is underpinned by a series of strategic policy measures. The plan includes zoning strategies, significant infrastructural developments such as new transport links and urban expansions, and the creation of future-ready cities. These efforts aim to foster rapid industrial growth in areas like Hyderabad and beyond.
A Letter of Intent for collaboration was exchanged between the Telangana government and Blair's institute, TBIGC, indicating a shared vision for development.
