In a significant move to strengthen ties, India and the Central American Integration System (SICA) convened for a virtual dialogue. The discussions, facilitated by India's Additional Secretary, Rajesh Vaishnaw, focused on enhancing cooperation across various sectors, including health, trade, and digital transformation.

The virtual meeting was attended by key figures such as Alejandro Solano, Costa Rica's Vice Minister, and Carmen Marroquin, SICA's Director of International Cooperation. Identified areas for collaboration included energy, agriculture, and food security. The dialogue reflects a mutual interest in fostering sustainable development and mutual prosperity.

In an official release, India's Ministry of External Affairs hailed the proactive role played by India in supporting global South-South partnerships. Emphasizing shared values and commitment, the dialogue highlighted India's readiness to engage further with SICA nations, reinforcing the bilateral partnership established on mutual respect and shared goals.
