Dubai [UAE], August 19 (ANI/WAM): In a significant operation to combat the relentless wildfires in Albania, the UAE rescue team is working in close collaboration with Albanian authorities. Their efforts are characterized by high efficiency, focusing on containing the fires and limiting their expansion despite soaring temperatures and challenging terrains.

As part of their operations, the team has conducted 18 aerial sorties using two Black Hawk helicopters, executing 359 water drops on critical fire hotspots. Initiating their mission last Monday in the Gramsh forest and surrounding areas, their actions follow directives from President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, aiming to bolster Albania's wildfire containment efforts.

Ongoing coordination meetings between the UAE team and Albanian officials are crucial to developing effective strategies and expediting firefighting measures. Continuous field monitoring is also in place to ensure the prevention of any flame resurgence as part of their comprehensive response plan.
