At least four Pakistani soldiers were killed, and two others, including an officer, were injured when militants attacked a military convoy in Balochistan's Washuk district, according to The Balochistan Post.

The attack, which took place in the Pathk area of Basima, saw a convoy of three military vehicles ambushed by unidentified militants using automatic and heavy weaponry. The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) later claimed responsibility for the assault, confirming their fighters targeted the convoy along the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) route.

Separately, police in Dalbandin, Chagai district, were attacked by armed men who seized their weapons but left the officers unharmed. Tensions persist in Balochistan given the persistent demands of separatists seeking greater autonomy or complete independence.
