In a bold assertion, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov assured that India's interests in Russian energy supplies will remain unaffected, despite global geopolitical tensions. Lavrov reinforced Russia's commitment to stable energy deliveries to India.
During an RT India interview before his visit to India for the BRICS Foreign Ministers' Meeting, Lavrov accused the United States of attempting to monopolize global energy routes, labeling this as unfair competition. He expressed confidence that India grasps the dynamics at play.
Lashing out at Western countries, particularly in Europe, Lavrov claimed their reduced reliance on Russian energy stems from political motives rather than market needs, predicting dire economic and energy consequences for Europe as they pivot towards expensive U.S. liquefied natural gas.
