Escalating Tensions: Airstrikes Rattle Muzaffarabad

India launched significant airstrikes on Wednesday morning in Muzaffarabad, the capital of Pakistan-administered Kashmir, citing the targeting of terrorist camps. However, these actions have led to mounting tensions between the two nuclear rivals.

Residents described fleeing to the hills in the early hours as mosque loudspeakers urged them to seek safety from the violent explosions that shook the ground. Among the damages was a mosque, heavily impacted by the strikes, leaving three civilians dead in its wake, according to local officials.

Pakistan's military reported a total of 26 fatalities and 46 injuries across the region. The barrage continued at the Line of Control, further escalating cross-border hostilities. India defends the strikes as necessary, while Pakistan condemns them as war provocations, intensifying the already volatile situation.
