Amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan, Jharkhand has initiated mock drills at six locations to better prepare for potential emergencies. These drills follow India's recent military strikes on terror bases.

Spanning over three hours, the drills will take place from 4 pm in Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Bokaro, Godda, and Sahibganj. Civil defence organizations are collaborating closely with district administrations to execute these exercises effectively.

Authorities emphasize the importance of these drills in nurturing coordination among various agencies like police, fire services, and medical response teams. Concurrently, they're urging citizens to heed safety protocols and remain calm when sirens sound.
