An F/A-18 Super Hornet jet went overboard during landing on the USS Harry S Truman aircraft carrier, forcing its two pilots to eject, as disclosed by a defense official to The Associated Press.
The aircraft landing incident marks another mishap during Truman's deployment, which has been pivotal in U.S. airstrikes against Yemen's Houthi rebels. This follows a ceasefire announcement that has yet to be acknowledged by the Houthis.
Amidst these developments, Israeli airstrikes have damaged Sanaa's airport. At least six planes, including three from Yemenia Airways, were hit. The airport is now out of service, intensifying the conflict's impact on local infrastructure.
