On Wednesday, emergency services conducted a series of mock drills across four sites in the city, including Secunderabad, Golkonda, Kanchan Bagh, and Nacharam NFC area. This exercise tested the coordination among police, fire services, and disaster response teams.
Initiated at 4 PM with sirens sounding within the Outer Ring Road (ORR), the drills simulated a crisis situation. Citizens were advised to remain indoors and take protective measures, as rescue teams evacuated 'injured' individuals and provided on-site medical assistance.
The operation concluded with a follow-up siren at 4:30 PM. Senior police officials closely monitored the drills from the Integrated Command and Control Centre, emphasizing the importance of preparedness amid recent tensions with Pakistan.
