In Arunachal Pradesh, security forces conducted mock drills to test their readiness for emergencies, officials reported. These exercises were part of a broader civil defence initiative, 'Operation Abhyaas', designed to simulate various crisis situations such as air raids and fires.
Held at strategic locations in Itanagar, Hayuliang, Bomdila, and Tawang, the drills included participation at facilities like Khandro Drowa Zangmo District Hospital and ANM School. In West Siang's Aalo, drills were planned for the New Market area from 7 to 8 pm.
Officials highlighted the seriousness of these drills, underscoring the need for vigilance to minimize casualties and damage. This operation followed 'Operation Sindoor', where Indian forces targeted terror sites in Pakistan and PoK. The drills emphasized interagency cooperation and community readiness for disasters.
