Iran has expressed its approval after the United States announced the conclusion of its military strikes in Yemen, targeting the Iran-aligned Houthi militia. This development was communicated by Iran's foreign ministry spokesperson on Wednesday.
President Donald Trump declared that the decision follows an agreement by Yemen's Houthis to cease disrupting crucial shipping routes in the Middle East. This pact aims at facilitating smoother maritime trade and stability.
The mediating country, Oman, confirmed that under the new arrangement, neither the U.S. forces nor the Houthi militia will engage each other in hostilities, also ensuring the safety of U.S. vessels in the strategic Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab Strait.
