Luxury Watch Smuggling Ring Busted at Delhi Airport
A Hong Kong man was arrested at Delhi's IGI airport for smuggling a luxury watch worth Rs 83 lakh into India to avoid customs duty. A subsequent investigation revealed that he had previously smuggled watches totaling Rs 2.5 crore. Two Indian receivers were also caught with Rs 50 lakh in cash.

A man from Hong Kong was apprehended at Indira Gandhi International Airport for attempting to smuggle a luxury watch valued at Rs 83 lakh into India, according to customs officials.
The 47-year-old, arriving from Hong Kong, was detained on Sunday. He confessed to customs authorities that he transported the expensive foreign watch to bypass custom duties.
Investigations uncovered he had previously smuggled four watches valued at Rs 2.5 crore, and two Indian recipients involved in the operation were found with Rs 50 lakh in cash, believed to be a part payment for the watch. All parties were arrested, with the watch and cash seized.
