Tensions Rise as Israel Warns Yemen's Houthis of Severe Retaliation

Israel's Defence Minister issued a stern warning to Yemen's Houthis, cautioning that any further attacks on Israel would result in severe retaliation. The Israeli Defence Forces stand ready for any mission necessary to counter such threats.

This warning follows U.S. President Donald Trump's announcement to halt bombings on the Iran-aligned Houthis in light of a ceasefire agreement, which notably excludes any protection for Israel. In response, the Houthis confirmed targeting Israel using drones.

Defence Minister Israel Katz accused Iran of financing and arming the Houthi fighters and hinted at the possibility of military actions similar to those against other Iran-associated groups in the region, stressing the need for Israel's independent defense against threats.
