In a tragic event, three police personnel lost their lives in a landmine blast executed by Maoists in Telangana's Mulugu district, close to the Chhattisgarh border, authorities reported.
The incident took place around 7:30 am on Thursday during a routine bomb detection operation inside the Wazeedu police station territory. The Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosion was set off by the extremist group, resulting in the fatalities, according to a senior police official.
Authorities confirmed that the outlawed CPI(Maoist) group was responsible for planting the deadly IEDs in the forest area, urging further investigation into the tragic occurrence.
