As tensions rise between India and Pakistan, Israel has updated its travel advisory, instructing nationals in the Kashmir region to evacuate immediately.
The update follows India's military action against terror sites in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, known as PoK, and Pakistan's Punjab province. The situation has escalated with significant artillery and mortar shelling from Pakistan targeting forward villages along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the Israeli Foreign Ministry, Israelis are urged to avoid the Jammu and Kashmir region, except Ladakh, and those present in the area should adhere to local security instructions. This notice aligns with the National Security Council's advisory. The military strikes, initiated by India as retaliation for a deadly terror attack on April 22, have resulted in numerous casualties on both sides.
