RIL Seeks Trademark for 'Operation Sindoor' Amid Missile Strikes

Reliance Industries Limited, along with five other applicants, has approached the Controller General of Patents Design and Trade Marks to secure the trademark for the term 'Operation Sindoor.'
This initiative aligns with Indian military strikes conducted as a response to the Pahalgam terror attack, which targeted nine terror sites in Pakistan, including key strongholds of Jaish-e-Mohammad and Lashkar-e-Taiba.
The term 'Operation Sindoor' is being registered under trademark Class 41, encompassing services in education and entertainment sectors, as noted on the Ministry of Commerce and Industry's website. Besides RIL, the list of applicants includes names such as Mukesh Chetram Agrawal and retired Group Captain Kamal Singh Oberh.
