The European Commission announced on Thursday the disbursement of the fourth tranche of its exceptional macro-financial assistance (MFA) loan to Ukraine. This financial support amounts to 1 billion euros ($1.1 billion), and is part of a broader G7 loan initiative.

EU Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis emphasized the EU's ongoing commitment to Ukraine, stating, "The EU continues to support Ukraine – politically, financially, economically, and militarily. Today's disbursement of 1 billion euros is part of the 45 billion euros initiative under the G7 Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration."

Thursday's disbursement marks the fourth round of financial support to Ukraine this year, underscoring the continued solidarity and assistance from the European Union in light of Ukraine's ongoing challenges.
