Suhail Iqbal, son of Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA Iqbal Mehmood, faced the Special Investigation Team (SIT) once more on Thursday. His appearance is part of ongoing inquiries into the violence that erupted in Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal on November 24 during a controversial mosque survey.
This marks at least his second questioning session with the SIT; he was previously questioned for five hours at the Sambhal Kotwali police station earlier this week. Key figures named in the case include SP MP Ziaur Rahman Barq, closely linked to the violent outbreak preceding the mosque survey.
Despite the intensity of the interrogations, Suhail expressed his intention to cooperate fully with investigators. He refrained from disclosing specifics but confirmed responding to all SIT inquiries comprehensively. The violence, which left four dead and several injured, underscores the ongoing tensions over the site in question.
