In a significant development, India declared on Thursday that it has thwarted Pakistan military's bold attempts to attack 15 strategic locations in Northern and Western India using missiles and drones. India also neutralized a Pakistani air defense system in Lahore, reflecting escalating hostilities between the two nations.

The Indian Defence Ministry revealed that the overnight attempts targeted prominent areas including Awantipura, Srinagar, Jammu, and Bhuj. These were effectively countered by India's Integrated Counter Unmanned Aircraft System. The Pakistani offensive followed Indian missile strikes on terror targets under Operation Sindoor.

India described its actions as 'focused, measured, and non-escalatory,' targeting air defense systems in Pakistan. Indian authorities reiterated a commitment to non-escalation, stressing retaliation as a necessary measure to Pakistani provocations on their military targets.
