The Pakistan Army reported on Thursday that four of its soldiers were injured following a drone attack. The military claims to have shot down multiple unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) allegedly launched by India, escalating tensions between the neighboring nations.
In response, Indian military officials in New Delhi stated that they successfully foiled attempts by Pakistani forces to target military installations in Northern and Western India. In addition, an air defense system in Lahore was reported to have been destroyed.
The U.S. Consulate in Lahore issued a security alert, advising American citizens to leave the conflict area if safe or otherwise shelter-in-place. The situation remains tense as Pakistan vows to respond to these attacks in a strategic manner, hinting at future military engagements to protect national sovereignty.
