The recently convened Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament unanimously passed a resolution on Thursday, applauding the armed forces' successful execution of Operation Sindoor. This action involved targeting terror strongholds in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
K C Venugopal, PAC's chairperson, announced the resolution, emphasizing that it endorsed the military's efforts in a meeting of the newly formed panel for 2025-26. A similar stance was adopted by the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Petroleum and Natural Gas.
The operation, described as 'measured, non-escalatory, proportionate, and responsible,' was a strategic response to the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, resulting in the destruction of several terror infrastructures belonging to groups like Jaish-e-Mohammad and Lashkar-e-Taiba.
