Maharashtra Leads Cyber Security Charge with AI Chatbot and Awareness Documentary

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis highlighted the state's advanced cyber security infrastructure during a launch event on Thursday. The initiative, aimed at combating online crimes, features an innovative artificial intelligence chatbot and an awareness documentary.

The documentary, which includes performances by actor Sharad Kelkar and actress Amisha Patel, serves to educate citizens about cyber threats. The Maharashtra Cyber agency, a branch of the state police, oversees cyber crime investigations and now offers a helpline to assist residents with cyber fraud issues.

Fadnavis stressed the importance of public awareness in preventing cyber crimes and human trafficking. The creation of informative content and the involvement of well-known actors are seen as significant steps towards a more informed public. Recent operations by Maharashtra Cyber successfully rescued victims of human trafficking abroad.
