Tensions Soar as Drone Attacks Spark India-Pakistan Confrontation
Drone blasts reverberate across Jammu, India, amid India-Pakistan skirmishes. Indian military suspects a Pakistani drone strike, escalating tensions between the nuclear nations. Pakistan denies involvement, while India claims to hit terrorist infrastructure in retaliation. World powers urge peace as the situation intensifies, with both countries reporting drone and aircraft defenses.

Blasts echoed throughout the city of Jammu in Indian Kashmir late Thursday, believed to be a result of Pakistani drone attacks during the second day of India-Pakistan clashes, according to Indian military sources. Sirens wailed as red flashes illuminated the night sky, a Reuters journalist reported.
Multiple districts, including Akhnoor, Samba, and Kathua, faced attacks, a senior Indian official disclosed anonymously. With army installations targeted, the situation indicates one of the worst confrontations in over two decades. Pakistan has yet to comment on this apparent escalation.
Earlier, Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif hinted at further retaliations. Meanwhile, India asserts it retaliated against Pakistani-backed militant attacks by striking nine terrorist sites. Global powers, like the U.S., Russia, and China, have called for restraint, emphasizing the perilous nature of this nuclear flashpoint.
