Poachers Nabbed in Similipal National Park
Three poachers were arrested by Odisha forest department officials for attempting to hunt wild animals in Similipal National Park. Three homemade guns were seized. The poachers, from Mayurbhanj district, were taken to the Chief Judicial Magistrate’s court in Baripada and face charges under the Arms Act, 1959.

In a decisive operation, the Odisha forest department apprehended three poachers attempting to hunt wild animals within the boundaries of Similipal National Park. Officials successfully seized three homemade firearms from the accused.
Following their arrest on Thursday, the poachers were presented before the Chief Judicial Magistrate's court in Baripada, which remanded them to judicial custody, officials confirmed.
The individuals, originating from Mayurbhanj district, now face charges under the Arms Act, 1959, as an FIR has been registered against them, indicating strict measures against wildlife crime.
