On Victory Day, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un attended a ceremony at the Russian embassy in Pyongyang with his daughter, marking the Soviet victory in World War Two. Kim expressed his commitment to enhancing North Korea-Russia relations.
North Korea has played a significant role in supporting Russia's defense efforts against Ukraine, deploying troops and providing military resources. The alliance has brought the two politically isolated nations closer. South Korean intelligence reports indicate 600 North Korean soldiers have died in the conflict.
In exchange, Pyongyang has supposedly received technological support from Russia, particularly in satellite and missile technology. The Victory Day parade in Moscow included participants from China, with North Korean soldiers observed in attendance, reinforcing the tripartite alliance.
