Security measures have been heightened along the India-Nepal border in Uttarakhand's Pithoragarh and Champawat districts. This action comes in response to military tensions between India and Pakistan.
In collaboration with the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), local authorities have increased patrols and checks at key entry points. ''We have intensified monitoring at the main bridges along the border,'' stated Pithoragarh SP Rekha Yadav.
Additional security personnel have been deployed at Naini Saini airport, with stringent checks in place. Meanwhile, Champawat's borders remain open but under vigilant observation, as emphasized by Champawat SP Ajay Ganpati, who mentioned intensified checks to prevent entry of suspected elements from Nepal.
