A constable belonging to the bomb disposal squad of Jharkhand Jaguar sustained injuries from an IED blast during an anti-Maoist operation, a senior police official reported.
The incident occurred within Maoist-prone West Singhbhum district, under the jurisdiction of Chota Nagra police station, amid an operation by security forces, including CRPF, Jharkhand Jaguar Cobra, and District Armed Police.
The injured constable, Manoj Kumar Damai, was promptly airlifted to a Ranchi hospital for advanced medical attention. Operations continue in the area as authorities search for other threats.
