Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and Minister Satish Sharma paid their respects at the wreath-laying ceremony for BSF Constable Deepak Chingakham in Jammu on Monday. Chingakham was killed in cross-border firing instigated by Pakistani troops.

The ceremony was attended by BSF Inspector General Shashank Anand, along with other senior BSF officials, police, and civil officers who gathered to honor Chingakham's sacrifice in the line of duty.

Constable Chingakham succumbed to injuries sustained during the firing along the international border in Jammu's R S Pura area. The solemn ceremony at BSF headquarters saw the LG laying a wreath before Chingakham's tricolour-wrapped coffin was dispatched to his family for final rites.
