The Metropolitan Police have arrested a 21-year-old man suspected of committing arson at the former Kentish Town residence of UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The early Tuesday apprehension followed a series of three fires that investigators believe may be linked, with Starmer's old home targeted by a blaze on Monday.
In addition to the fire at Starmer's private residence, authorities reported a vehicle fire nearby a day before and another door fire at a separate north London location on May 8. Fortunately, no injuries resulted from these incidents, as officials continue their investigation into these mysterious events.
Despite the fact that Starmer no longer resides there, counterterrorism officers have taken command of the investigation due to the property's associations with such a high-profile public figure. In the past, the house has also been a site of protest activities, including last year when three individuals were arrested for public order offenses after staging a demonstration outside the residence.
