An explosion that injured three people, including a 10-year-old boy, disrupted a mosque demolition in the Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.

The incident occurred in the Langate area when the mosque management committee was in the process of tearing down an old mosque to build a new one.

Authorities rushed the injured—Mudasir Ahmad Mir, Ghulam Ahmad Tantray, and young D A Lone—to Langate's sub-district hospital, with Mir later transferred to the Government Medical College hospital in Handwara. The explosion's cause remains under investigation.
