A Bangladeshi national has been sentenced to six years of rigorous imprisonment by a special NIA court for his involvement in a terror conspiracy.
The man, known by aliases Najiur Rahman Pavel, Joyram Byapari, and Joseph, faced charges under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, Foreigners Act, and Indian Passport Act.
The indictment stemmed from a 2021 case regarding illegal entry into India, linked to Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh members aiming to replace the Indian government with a 'Caliphate.'
