Manhunt for Suspected NYC Arsonist: A Fiery Connection to Protests
A 21-year-old New Jersey man is suspected of torching NYPD vehicles in Brooklyn. Linked to previous protests, the suspect is also wanted for vandalizing a Columbia University statue. Despite surveillance footage identifying him, he remains at large. Authorities are probing his involvement in additional incidents.

A 21-year-old New Jersey man is at the center of a police investigation for allegedly setting fire to 11 New York City police vehicles in Brooklyn last week. The suspect, who has a history of protest-related arrests, has also been implicated in vandalizing a Columbia University statue.
The NYPD released photos and video footage of the suspect, calling on the public for assistance. As of Thursday, he remains on the run. The arson attack, which took place on June 12, involved placing fire starters on numerous police vehicles in Brooklyn's Bushwick neighborhood.
Authorities are exploring connections between the suspect's actions in Brooklyn and his involvement in protests against the Trump administration's immigration policies. While no formal charges have been made in the arson case, the man faces pending legal issues, including prior disorderly conduct and assault charges.
