A Moscow military court sentenced Russian activist Nadezhda Rossinskaya to 22 years in prison for treason and aiding terrorist activities, according to the RIA state news agency. Rossinskaya, also known as Nadin Geisler, was known for her humanitarian efforts in Ukraine, aiding 25,000 people through her group, "Army of Beauties."

Authorities arrested Geisler in early 2024, charging her based on an Instagram post alleged to have solicited donations for Ukraine's Azov Battalion. Her lawyer opposed the charges, denying her authorship of the post, as documented by Mediazona, an independent Russian media outlet.

Prosecutors sought a 27-year term, mirroring a precedent set by Darya Trepova's lengthy sentence last year. This harsh sentencing reflects a surge in Russian prosecutions related to terrorism and foreign collaboration since the Ukraine conflict escalated.
