Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a significant thrust in development for Odisha, launching 105 projects valued at over Rs 18,600 crores on his recent visit. Highlighting his commitment to infrastructure, Modi initiated these projects, which span areas including health infrastructure, roads, bridges, and railway developments.

A cornerstone of Modi's visit was the unveiling of the 'Odisha Vision Document', a strategic roadmap aimed at economic transformation. The document sets ambitious goals for Odisha, planning its growth into a Dollar 500 billion economy by 2036 and further into a Dollar 1.5 trillion economy by 2047. The vision encompasses a variety of initiatives, from irrigation and drinking water projects to national highways.

In addition, the Prime Minister inaugurated the Baraputra Aitihya Gram Yojana to promote cultural tourism by transforming the birthplaces of Odia icons into memorials. Modi also highlighted the empowerment of women through initiatives like 'Lakhpati Didi', which aims to boost women in Self-Help Groups towards financial independence.
