EU Urges Iran-US Dialogue Post Nuclear Strikes
Germany's foreign minister urged Iran to engage in direct talks with the U.S. following American strikes on Iranian nuclear sites. Despite Iran's preference to negotiate only with Europe, the EU insists on U.S. involvement and is ready to facilitate the dialogue as requested by America.

Germany's Foreign Minister has called on Iran to enter direct negotiations with the United States after recent U.S. strikes targeted Iranian nuclear facilities. This statement comes amid Iran's preference for negotiations exclusively with Europe, which the EU considers a positive step.
Speaking ahead of an EU foreign ministers' meeting in Brussels, Minister Johann Wadephul stressed the importance of U.S. involvement, emphasizing that European dialogue alone is insufficient to resolve the ongoing tensions.
The minister reaffirmed that the European Union is prepared to play a significant role in facilitating these crucial discussions, responding to ongoing requests from the United States to maintain open channels with Iran.
