Bihar Police, in a significant crackdown, have arrested six individuals, including two women, following the recovery of 4,536 live cartridges in raids conducted in the Kaimur and Nalanda districts.
The suspects, identified as Kumar Abhijeet, Shatrughan Kumar, Vishal Kumar, Rajendra Prasad, and two unnamed women, are reportedly part of a gang smuggling ammunition from Kanpur to Bihar's black market.
Acting on intelligence, the Special Task Force and district police intercepted a vehicle near Mohania in Kaimur, seizing a large quantity of ammunition. Further inquiries led to additional seizures from premises linked to the suspects, unearthing a network of illegal arms trafficking.
