In a tragic incident in Gursahaiganj, two men on a motorcycle lost their lives after being struck by a sand-laden dumper truck, according to police reports from Wednesday.
The accident, which occurred on Tuesday night, incited outrage among local villagers who responded by throwing stones at three other dumper trucks and obstructing the roadway with the victims' bodies.
Additional Superintendent of Police Ajay Kumar identified the deceased as Prabhakant and Ajay Verma and confirmed the accident took place near Padapur village. The driver of the dumper truck fled the scene, leaving rising tensions in the community.
