Authorities have ramped up security for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra by deploying advanced technology, including facial recognition systems. These systems are designed to flag blacklisted individuals in real-time, enhancing the safety of the planned pilgrimage.
The entire route is declared a 'no-fly zone' to prevent unauthorized UAV or drone activity. The pilgrimage will start on July 3 and finish on August 9, with a shortened duration from previous years.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha confirmed that preparations are improved compared to past years. With a history of attacks on the pilgrimage, robust security measures are imperative, featuring surveillance and widespread patrols along the route.
