Protest Over Digital Court Relocation by Shahdara Bar Association

The Shahdara Bar Association announced on Monday their decision to abstain from work on Tuesday. This move comes in response to the recent shifting of digital courts under the Negotiable Instruments (NI) Act to the Rouse Avenue courts.
In an urgent meeting held on June 28, the executive committee of the Shahdara Bar Association discussed the ramifications of relocating digital courts from the Karkardooma Court Complex to Rouse Avenue. The lawyers and litigants expressed concern over the inconvenience caused by this change.
The committee unanimously decided to protest by refraining from work on July 1 at Karkardooma courts. They urged all members to cooperate by not appearing in courts physically or virtually, warning of strict actions against those who violate this directive, as stated by secretary Narveer Dabas. The association's president, V K Singh, confirmed this decision.
