The National Commission for Women (NCW) held a public hearing in Maharashtra, receiving 56 complaints as part of a broader initiative to bring justice closer to women across India.
Chairperson Viajya Rahatkar, alongside the Maharashtra State Commission for Women (MSCW) Chairperson Rupali Chakankar and other officials, addressed the grievances. Out of the complaints, 20 were resolved on the spot, while the rest were forwarded to relevant authorities for further action.
The initiative 'National Commission for Women at Your Doorstep' aims to make justice accessible by conducting public hearings in state capitals and divisional locations, significantly enhancing women's ability to voice their grievances efficiently.
