Thane police successfully apprehended Mohammad Rahim Salim Sheikh at Hyderabad International Airport, marking a pivotal development in a high-profile drug bust case, an official confirmed on Thursday.
The arrest stems from a June 25 raid in Khoni by Manpada police, during which 1.93 kilograms of mephedrone valued at Rs 2.12 crore was seized, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone III-Kalyan, Atul Zende.
On June 29, Sheikh, also known as Farhan, was captured while attempting to leave the country. During the June 25 raid, three individuals, including a woman, were detained. A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been lodged, and investigations continue.
