Officials announced a significant development in the fight against drug-related crime in Jammu city, as the Jammu Development Authority, on Monday, demolished a residential structure allegedly constructed illegally by a notorious drug peddler.

The demolished property belonged to Reena alias Roopa, the spouse of Bobby, a well-known figure in drug trafficking circles in Rajeev Nagar. The demolition activity was executed by a JDA task force, led by Tehsildar Megha Gupta, with police support.

Authorities revealed that Reena had a longstanding criminal record and had been detained under the Public Safety Act in 2019. Her house was seized following property attachment orders confirmed by the police on July 31, 2024, linking the acquisition to illegal narcotics proceeds.
