India-Korea Coast Guards Unite for Maritime Dominance

Top officials from the Indian and Korean coast guards convened in Delhi on Monday to strengthen cooperation in maritime law enforcement, search, rescue, and pollution response.
The defense ministry emphasized the collaborative efforts under the 2006 Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to share best practices and improve interoperability between the nations.
The gathering marked the 13th High-Level Meeting, co-chaired by Indian Coast Guard Director General Paramesh Sivamani and Korean counterpart Commissioner General Kim Yong Jin. The Korean delegation plans to extend their visit to Mumbai for industrial tours, aiming to bolster maritime operational ties.
